Why the office needs a cable, not WiFi
The internet plan you pay for only reaches full speed over a wired connection. WiFi is fine in open air, but through a couple of brick walls it drops packets and lags on calls. A Cat6 point in the office, the media room and behind the TV gives you the full connection every time.
There's a right way to run it. Data too close to mains power picks up interference and drags your speed down, which is the problem you were trying to fix. Australian wiring rules set the separation. We do the power and the data on the same visit, so the Cat6 sits the correct distance from the power, terminated to spec and tested before we leave.

Yes. C3 Industries is an electrical and data business, so we run power and Cat6 on the same job. That means the data is kept the correct distance from your mains wiring, terminated properly and tested, with one tradesperson accountable for the lot instead of two.
Powerboards and double adaptors pull everything through one outlet on one circuit. Stack enough high-draw gear on it, like a heater and a drier, and that circuit runs hot. Overloaded outlets and cheap boards are a leading cause of house fires. Extra hard-wired points spread the load safely.
It depends how far the new outlet is from the existing circuit, whether the wall is brick or plasterboard, and how many you add at once. Doing several at once works out far cheaper per point than adding them one at a time. We give you a fixed quote before we start.
Yes. They have USB-A and USB-C ports built into a standard outlet, so phones and tablets charge straight from the wall with no plug pack. Popular in bedrooms, on the kitchen bench and at desks, and they take up no more room than the outlet you already have.
In open air, WiFi is fine. Through a couple of brick walls it slows down, drops out and rarely reaches the speed you pay for. A hard-wired Cat6 point gives you the full connection every time. For work calls, gaming and 4K streaming, wired is the one that holds up.
Usually a tripped safety switch, a loose wire in the outlet, or damage on the circuit. Sometimes it's one dead outlet, sometimes it's the circuit warning you. Worth testing properly rather than guessing, especially if the others on the same wall have gone too.
Treat it as urgent. A burning smell or a scorch mark at an outlet usually means melting insulation or a connection that has worked loose and is heating up, and both are how electrical fires start. Switch that circuit off at the switchboard, stop using the outlet, and call us on 0412 424 596 whatever the hour. If you can see smoke or flames, get everyone out and ring 000 first.
