How a hot water call goes

  1. Ring us, any hour

Call or text 0412 424 596 and tell us what the system is doing. We run 24/7 across Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly.

  2. We test for the real fault

Element, thermostat, circuit and off-peak wiring all get checked, so you're not sold the most expensive part on a guess.

  3. Fixed price before parts go in

You get the diagnosis and the repair price up front. No call-out fee and nothing charged just to look.

  4. Hot showers, guaranteed

Element and thermostat repairs are usually done the same day, with a lifetime workmanship guarantee on what we fit.

Signs your system is on the way out

Not every hot water call is a repair. If the tank itself is failing, you're better off knowing now than paying for a repair that buys you six months.

  • Hot water runs out much faster than it used to, or never gets properly hot
  • The system keeps tripping the safety switch when it heats
  • Rusty or discoloured water from the hot tap, which is corrosion inside the tank
  • Banging, popping or rumbling from the tank as it heats, which is sediment
  • The tank is 10 to 15 years old, the typical lifespan of an electric storage system
  • Repairs are getting frequent, and replacement becomes the cheaper call

Plumber or electrician?

For an electric hot water system, you call a licensed electrician, not a plumber. In NSW, repairs to the electrical parts, the element, thermostat, off-peak wiring and circuit, must be done by a licensed electrician, and you get a Certificate of Compliance when the job's finished. We handle the electrical side. If the tank itself is leaking, or you're on gas or solar, we'll tell you straight that it's a plumber's job rather than charge you to come and look.

  • No hot water at all, electric system: Us (element, thermostat or wiring)
  • Element or thermostat failed: Us
  • Off-peak tariff not heating overnight: Us (metering and circuit)
  • Tripping the safety switch when it heats: Us
  • Water leaking from the tank or pipes: Plumber
  • Gas or solar hot water fault: Gas fitter or plumber. We do electric only

What we fix

Everything on the electrical side of an electric hot water system, around the clock across Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly and the wider Macarthur region. Same fixed price before we start, same lifetime workmanship guarantee on all of it, and we test the fault before we quote you a part.

Heating element replacement

The most common fault by a long way. Tested first, replaced same day where we can, and a lot cheaper than a new system.

Thermostat faults

Water that never gets properly hot, or runs out far too fast, is usually the thermostat. Tested and replaced, not guessed at.

Off-peak metering and timers

Off-peak systems only heat overnight. If yours isn't, the tariff, timer or metering circuit is the place to look, and that's electrical work.

Safety switch tripping

A hot water circuit that trips when it heats is an element breaking down internally. We find it and fix it rather than resetting it.

Circuit and wiring faults

Dead circuits, damaged cable and faulty isolation switches feeding the unit. Tested properly so the fix lasts.

What we check before we quote you

We test to find the real fault rather than guessing at the most expensive part. On an electric storage system that means checking the heating element, testing the thermostat, and confirming the circuit and off-peak wiring are actually delivering power when they should be. Plenty of dead systems are a tripped circuit or a failed thermostat, not the write-off a replacement company will tell you it is.

If it's the element or the thermostat, you're usually back to hot showers the same day. If the tank has corroded through and is leaking, replacement genuinely is the right call and we'll say so. Either way you get the diagnosis and a fixed price before any parts go in.

What you get on every job

  • No call-out fees and nothing charged just to look.
  • You get a fixed quote in writing before we start, a free safety inspection while we're there, and a lifetime workmanship guarantee on everything we fit.
  • A fixed price agreed before the job starts, not a meter running while you watch.
