Older Minto homes and newer builds
We do both kinds of home in Minto. In the older streets it's the switchboard: ceramic fuses, no safety switches, and wiring never built for the loads a modern household puts through it. In the newer builds it's the add-ons the builder left out: downlights, ceiling fans, extra powerpoints, data points and an EV charger.
Whichever it is, we look at the job, price the whole thing in writing, and the same electrician who quotes it turns up to do it. Building Commission NSW says a compliance certificate has to be lodged for any work that installs, repairs, adds to or alters the electrics in a home, right down to a like-for-like oven or hot water swap.
